It’s been a long time since Lil Wayne was a lil’ deal, which might be why he’s been tapped to headline the Big Show. For years, the New Orleans rapper held the title of most Billboard Hot 100 entries of any solo artist — beating out the King himself, Elvis Presley. Since dropping on the scene as part of the Hot Boys in 1996 — at just 15 years old — he’s racked up 12 studio records, including this year’s The Carter V . Though he may dabble in hot takes like thinking Kobe Bryant is better than Michael Jordan , he’s got a sound squad in fellow Big Show performers Yo Gotti, Moneybagg Yo, BlocBoy JB, Sada Baby, and Detroit’s own Tee Grizzley.
97.9 WJLB: Big Show 2018 will take place at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 27 at Little Caesars Arena; 2645 Woodward Ave., Detroit; 313-471-7000;
